Hey, my 2015 SR5 has a front bench seat that I have flipped down to use as an armrest. I appreciate all of the cubbies and understand that they need to be hard plastic for strength, but the big back opening cubby (that my elbow rests on) is quite uncomfortable even with a winter coat on, in the summer it will need to have something done to it. has anyone done anything to pad their hard plastic armrests? I dont want something sliding around as that would be annoying and my dog would likely eat it, but I dont want to have to permanenelty scar the original armrest.

If nobody has any ideas I'll come up with somehting and post back with pics.

My right elbow kept crashing into the side of the console lid, so I drive around with it in it's upright and locked position and only pull it down when I need it.

I could do that but I like resting my arm on the armrest, and I am using the cubbies all the time and the drink holders (I only have drink holders on the armrest)

Well that's different, post an image or two. My '07 has a huge double cup holder that pops out of the dash below the heat / AC controls.

Yeah the gen 2s have a lot of things the gen 3s dont. I’ll take a pic when I get outside. I’ve had bursitis in my elbow before, it’s gross...and I don’t want it again becasue if a hard armrest! Lol

I have an industrial sewing machine, I’m leaning towards making a mat with leather or suede on top and blue closed cell foam inside and have it 3m double sided taped down.
