Beep when hitting bump?

When I hit a big bump (pothole, while off-roading and hitting a divot, etc) there is often a loud “beep” that occurs. Very irritating! I’d like to turn that off if I can. Does anyone else experience this? Thanks much!

 

Do you have a Toyota integrated DashCam?

if you do chances are that’s it…the beep is to let you know the camera is going to protect that recording (and the prior 5 min before) as it assumes you might have gotten hit or something violent like that.

If you don’t have that camera then I couldn’t tell you.

 

Thats good to know!! When reading what the OP was saying.... i heard the same beep myself. DIdnt know the camera had that feature

 

You can also adjust the g sensor for the camera. You can make it more or less sensitive to the g shock.

YES I installed the Toyota dashcam myself, great device and nice integration. I had NO idea that was the cause of the beep. I am going to adjust that G sensor right away. It looks like the setting is in the mobile app. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/toyota-integrated-dashcam/id1533142926

I have the Integrated Dashcam and it seems to work great; however, I can’t seem to connect to “Live View” or “Preview” to review a file. It tries but takes so long I just stop and download what I think I want. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

 

Hi ChiefG! The live preview/live view is terrible IMHO. I generally pull the card, download and watch quickly and easily on my laptop.

 

Yeah, that’s what I’ve been doing.

 

Make sure you have the right app. I scanned the QR code on the camera and could never get it to connect. I was going to take to the dealer, but before I did I deleted the app and when I searched for Toyota Dashcam a different app came up and that one worked first time connecting. V 1.0.24.1

 

This took me forever to figure out, kept going off in our parking garage at work.
Then I looked at save files, all parking garage and a light went off, the G-sensor was triggering the camera to beep.

You can also hit the red button if you see something you want to record. You can do it after the fact and because it's always recording it will put the file in your saved folder so it's almost like going back and time...

 

Happened to me right after the Wescott 3/1. Then i had them go to a King suspension and rides like a '57 Caddy.
