I get a ton of dust in my bed on dirt/gravel roads despite having a diamondback cover, as it gets sucked in at the tailgate. I tried using a rokblock strip to bridge the gap between tailgate and bed, but it makes it very difficult to close the tailgate. I tried it with both orientations of the fold: down between the tailgate and bed, and also with the fold upward (which was actually impossible to close).

Can anyone with a bedrug xlt or bedtred confirm that it doesn’t impede the tailgate closing if the gap material goes down between the bed and tailgate when it’s closed?

I don't have a BedRug XLT, but a full-on BedRug. The fabric between the bottom of the bed and the tailgate tucks down between the bed and the tailgate when I close my tailgate just fine. Doesn't seem to be any interference.
