Anyone heard of this? Terrible website, but clever design depending on installation variables. I wonder if the access panel to the tailgate latch on the 3rd gens would interfere. Or if it would hit a tonneau cover...

what about the factory step that folds up under the rear bumper?

I have the AMP bedstep which is off to the left side of the truck and have the WeatherTech Bump Step in my trailer hitch receiver

I don't see the benefit of some of those hitch steps as it is the same level as the bumper. Same as the bumper steps, why not just step on the bumper, it's 2" above the step?

I have am OEM step swing thingy and love it. It drops down low and is a real step in that sense. Swings out and can be used with tailgate up or down.

Seems like this is only useful for reaching over the tailgate - not for getting up into the bed once the tailgate is dropped...

that or the AMP, i guess would be the 2nd best thing - this just caught my eye as it's totally invisible with the tailgate shut

As far as using the bumper to get up into the bed, from what I've noticed there aint much room to step on the bumper atleast not for me wearing a size 12. When I was looking at buying a truck I looked at a '17 that had the hide-away step under the rear bumper and it was nice. But it would be tucked under too far with the tailgate down.

You access the tailgate and step from the side of the truck and tailgate.

I have the Bestop rear tailgate step and love it. Very large platform and tucks up under the bumper. I have a size 15 foot and it's perfect.
