Hello, I have a 2025 tundra SR 5, my bed shakes pretty bad at times it’s even noticeable in my side mirror. It doesn’t do this all the time, I have tire balance checked and that is good. It’s under warranty, but can anyone give me any ideas or information if you have had same issue? I have not had it to the dealer yet. Thank you

    Flat spots on tires?

No, it’s does it on different roads depending on how ruff the black top is. Some roads it’s nice and smooth. It has done this since it was new, it’s more noticeable now because I put one size bigger tires from stock. The suspension has all ways been super sensitive to the road. Thanks for the reply

I honestly think it’s the stock shocks, I bounce on the bumper, then let it go and it hops more than it should. I’m thinking about bilsteins 6100 series.

Just flex. On icon 3 inch diameter shocks and same thing. No improvement to bed shake after new shocks

Thanks, it can shake really bad. It’s my first Toyota so I’m not familiar with the trucks.

Since truck beds are detached from the cab and are hard-mounted to the frame instead of rubber/poly body mounts, they will shake, especially if unloaded and on stock suspension. It's part of owning a pickup. Certain types of road surface will exacerbate the condition - as you have discovered.

Different shock absorbers will help, but not totally eliminate it. The stock shocks are decent for what they are, but there are much better options out there. As well, the stuck rear springs leave much to be desired; very functional and carrying a load, but not great for other things. Depending on what you do with your vehicle, you may want to look in to a more comprehensive rear suspension overhaul to better meet your needs.

Or throw a couple hundred pounds in the bed and help dampen it. I'm told tubes of sand are cheap and easy to remove if needed.

I will try that, I’m 55 and have owned only pick ups, this is my first tundra and the first truck I have owned that has this shake it shakes so rapidly it’s like riding in a car with a bad strut. And it’s my first truck with this type of suspension (not leaf) takes a little getting used to. My old lady and I get pretty good back massages from the seat LMAO thanks again

I misread your first post and was thinking you had a 2nd get truck. The 3rd Gen coil spring suspension shouldn’t behave like that. Does it only shake when the suspension is excited, like from hitting a bump in the road? Or is is constant or cyclical, independent of the road surface?

When the road is slightly ruff, it begins as a slight shake then gradually gets worse until road smooths out. It like someone is constantly and consistently shaking the back bed. It’s not all the time only certain roads make it act like this.

I just purchased a set of bilstein 6100, I’m going to give this a try. I have checked everything I can and it seems to be to much extra travel when you push up and down on the bumper and let off. I have had good luck in the past with this brand, if not off to the dealer.

Is the shake always the same frequency? If you think it is, try adding some weight like previously suggested.

I put some sand bags in the back like you suggested and I’m going to go for a drive at 530 EST. The frequency always ends up the same, it starts off light gradually increases then gets to a certain point and doesn’t get any worse.

Is it a concrete freeway in particular? There is one highway that is concrete that does the same thing to my truck when I’m unloaded.

BTW, everytime I read ‘Bilstein 6100’ I want to correct you that they are either 5100 or 6112… then I remember that they introduced the 6100’s and are available for 3rd gens. But every time I read it… Must be out of jealousy that we only got 5160’s. Or old habits. Haha. I really liked my Bilstein setup; hopefully they help the situation.

Try putting the weight in different places. In the middle may not change anything. Corners should work best.

Some bed shaking is pretty normal. All trucks do it.

If you think it’s excessive you can check the bed bolts to see if they’re loose. Also what tire pressures are you running?
