Looking for ideas of a camper set up. Anybody have pictures of a bed rug/camper shell set up with a Decked system or sleeping platform set up? I know BedRugs are hard to find for our trucks nowadays, but wanted to try and locate one for a future build.

Bedrugs can be found, used, just know DC and AC are different sidewall heights, though. I got mine used from a Cali member (thanks, @jerryallday!) who found one at a junkyard on a truck with a minty camper shell, and he was kind enough to post and ask if anyone wanted it.

I can tell you, it'd be silly to run a Decked unit and Bedrug in tandem, the Decked unit would cover the Bedrug in its entirety. Actually, it'd be silly to bother putting in a Bedrug with anything else built into the bed over the top of it, I think? Defeats the purpose, no?

I think a wiser option would be adapting the latest 3rd Gen Decked unit (there's a thread on here from @inv3ctiv3 showing how to do it, with video), then getting a basic carpet to throw over it, either cut-to-fit, or otherwise.

This is my current setup, very basic DIY but it also stores and is broken down easily. It's one sheet of 4x8' 3/4" ply, a 1x12x8" and a few random scraps of 2x4, and misc ply. All of it is wrapped in the generic outdoor rug from Home Depot (or similar) that i've stapled to the plywood. Nothing is screwed in, it all comes out like tinker toys to store in the garage.

I made it so that the generic bins with the yellow lid fit exactly underneath, I can fit 4 bins easily underneath the top platform. I store my camping gear year round in the bins. We put the tri-fold memory mattress right on top.

Decked systems are super cool, just expensive. All of this cost me probably ~$200ish 3 years ago.
