Looking at purchasing a Wild Top topper from a local guy. On the Wild Top Website they differentiate between the 07-13 and 14-21 model years. There are different SKU’s as well which makes me think the toppers are not interchangeable between those model years. I’m guessing the model year ‘11 that the guy is selling won’t fit my ‘21 even though both trucks are Crewmax’s with 5.5 ft. beds. Thanks all.

That is correct. The beds are shaped differently between the 07-13 and the 14-21.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was hoping the differences would be insignificant, but figured as much.

I wonder how different? Dimensionally they’ve got to be close. The Google shows both beds as 22in deep and 66.7 long.

i have a topper from a 09 on my 19 and since the rear of the bed shape is slightly different : the older style topper is abour 2 inches shorter !

So there is a small gape in the front ; i did seal mine with pipe insulater so no big deal for me ( also save about 5000$ on the used topper i bought so pipe insulator to seal a small gap made me happy anyway : But make sure you buy the 14+ model topper because it wont seal right up front !

Same manufacturer @QCTundra Wild Top? I spoke with their cs last night, they said the bed dimensions are the same through 2007-2021 and the canopy dimensions are also identical. So either model should fit any of those years. Hopefully the guy lets me test fit before money changes hands or no deal. More to come I guess…

Oh you’re looking for a soft top. Then yes, it’s universal between the years. It matters for the fiberglass and overland shells more.

A quick check would be see if Softtopper has two different models for 07-13 and 14+.

They do have different SKU’s for those model years, but cs said they checked with their “engineer” who said dimensions are the same, so either should fit my ‘21. I thought it weird there are 2 different part numbers.

*Canadian Dollar Lol ! The high topper Everest from Mory that i wanted , color match with windows run at more then 6000K Can dollar brand new + taxes... i found a used one for 800$ in perfect shape , so it seal the deal for me and i could live with the little gap , since it can be seal properly with a little DIY . ( i really did not want to spend that kind of money on a topper !! )

To the OP : Bed floor and inside dimensions are the same , but the out side panels vary a little in dimensions where the topper sits from a different tail gate and upper tail light bed shape.

I cant tell from the manufacturer you are looking for, but it sure worth a call to them mentionning this info, especially if they have 2 different SKU for the 2 different gen 2 tundra model !
