    Definitely. Huge tip for you:

Go to the Filters on the left-hand side. Specifically, I recommend 'Filter by Seller' and type in your state's two-letter designation, add as many stores are within 1-2 hours of you (or any distance you'll drive). There's a lot of 'local pickup only' stuff, and that's where you get the killer deals. If you're near the border of a state, look for stores in that state too. You can add multiple. Then 'add to bookmarks' once you pick all the states in the box so you can always browse for local stuff. You'll save on shipping this way also. Like, here's where I regularly look:

Oh, and the search feature at the top-right corner searches nationally. Like, if you search Toyota, they regularly have hitch kits for $10-20 shipped. You can find tons of OEM radios. Stock rotates once a week. Hardly anything is Buy It Now. Be sure to calculate shipping before bidding.

The filters section for Category is clumsy at best. It's not clear, but you CAN select a top-level category like Automotive and click 'Apply' to see everything under that category.

    What else?

If you bookmark local stores only, you can run multiple filters and may want to consider combining with 'Filter by Attribute' and select 'Show pickup items only'.

I was able to use their site to restock a shitload of vintage/classic video games and consoles. They often have bulk-buy for games, 10-20 at a time, everything from the original Sega or Atari up to the most recent XBOX and PS.

Sometimes people get WAAAAACK on how much they bid. Snipe carefully. Auctions always end at the top of the minute provided. If you bid within 5 seconds of the top of a minute, you should get a successful snipe.

Anomaly, it closed low. Two things often close within 10% of expected range: Precious metals/stones, and vintage guitars. Shocking that one didn't.

You also need to observe carefully, but forced to do it with their crappy pictures, which can either play in your favor or really play against you.

They typically don't verify authenticity& sometimes don't picture all damage. Gotta really look closely for neck-to-body issues, nut, fret damage, hope neck is straight.

Hopefully this helps turn you off :D

Yeah, I checked the vin and since I have the same guitar I compared it to mine. Its the real deal. Condition is hard to tell from pics but it doesn't appear damaged.

Regardless, I like the idea of checking stores near me for similar things. I now have a new place to scan, damn it.

The only part that sucks is, if you see something on the SGW site, you can't actually go to any specific store to buy ahead of time. Over here they separate store items from online auction items, then distribute online items for pickup out of a regional or county warehouse also, they'll give you the address ahead of times sometimes, else you see it when paying.

Worth noting, they will list damage in most auctions if the person listing is aware, or they have a documented process. They appear to work with specialists on certain items. They do have some specialized tools too, like for metallurgy for example. And you can choose to refuse an item if you inspect on pickup and see damage that's not listed, they'll just re-list and potentially include the damage next listing, although I've never encountered a counterfeit and don't know how they'll handle if you spotted a fake after buying.

That said, I've had to refuse two items in the past. I picked up a vintage bicycle from them only to find the fork was bent. Another one had a pretty gnarly dent in the seat tube I wasn't cool w. I picked up a 60s era Harmony Patrician from them at the start of the pandemic to try and relive old memories while I was some stuck-at-home time, the top nut was totally unglued, but that was easy enough to clean up and re-glue.

Point being, you never know what you're going to actually get b/c the low-quality pics and sometimes lower-quality inspections. But you're also not going to pawn shop or eBay prices and can score some killer deals. I got pissed seeing how much my kids had to spend on one pack of Pokemon cards, so I scored an 21lb lot of cards on SGW for $31. Nipped their Pokemon buying in the bud real fast!

PS - They were listing a crapload of Toyota OEM hitches recently. I think Toyota sells $50-60 OEM, I got it under $18 shipped. It was this item, actually, listed as "Toyota Parts Ball Mount Assy 375N/706N 2.0"

I saw that - Item might actually be damaged enough the winner (both rounds?) refused the item. That happens a lot here with bicycles, in talking to the dude at the north ATL pickup warehouse. If you read in the item details, "The item is approx. 78.5" X 69" X 22" and shows signs of damage including but not limited to the plastic being broken."

Honestly, when I 1st posted on here to bring awareness, I almost bid on it, Knoxville isn't that far of a drive, although it'd add about 2 tanks worth of gas onto the bill.... Add that in with repaint cost, I may as well buy one from a local used cap reseller for $500-600 that's not cracked.
