I just picked up a 2025 CM Limited. It has the electric open and close tailgate. The taillight button is cool on the dealer lot but if you spend a little time thinking about it, I think it is a bad idea. I can't lift the tailgate and slam it closed myself. The motor fights me.

So given this, I'm looking for a cover or shell that will lock and protect items in the back. Originally dead set on a Smart Cap but have been thinking about a Diamondback.

My question to other owners with the same electric CLOSING tailgate: have you run into any interference issues with any bed cover products that ended up being a major PITA with this electric CLOSING tailgate?

I run the OEM Toyota tonneau cover and have zero issues with the electric tailgate on my 2025. Usage includes a couple trips to the mountains at freezing temps and snow.

I just installed the Tyger soft roll-up cover. It hits the rubber seal but powers right through it and locks tightly.
