Looks awesome! Been searching for a setup basically the same.

What types of screws/bolts did you use? And did you take off the dash to secure it or?

thanks. yes nothing made for our trucks so I had to come up with something solid. I had the RAM suction cup before but it keeps falling off.

I got the 10" RAM track: remove the radio and drill through dashboard. #10 screws 10-32. have nyloc nuts and big washers on each of them. 6 totals, alternated (zig zag) for max coverage with washers (kinda like acting as a solid plate). I painted the screws black when I was done assembling.

$10 for the RAM track and $5 worth of hardware. its rock solid and no bent on dashboard or track. It follows the contours well.

I still have space for 2 more devices there if I wanted. I might add a front facing camera in the middle.

run the USB cables behind dash for a cleaner setup.

    measure twice..drill once :)

Just received the Dual Sky Pro GPS unit. Paired right away with my old IPad and locked on 35 satellites (GPS + GLONASS)...GAIA map accurate too. Real test will be in upcoming desert trip.

    What app does it use?

Sorry, I wasn't paying attention. I guess it's GAIA map.

    Looks great.

I see you went with the SkyPro. Will you be mounting it on the dash, or on the roof/exterior of the truck?

I have it in the dash board right now. Comes with a non sliding pad. Doesn’t move and I lock on 35 satellites. Very accurate with GAIA maps. I was in remote northern Arizona with no cell signal at all and it was dead on. Happy with the setup so far. I recommend to leave it connected to USB or else the battery might not last long especially with multiple devices Bluetooth to it ( up to 5 simultaneous)
