I have an issue with my tie rods rubbing the spring on my coilovers. It's on both sides. I've had it realigned twice, added coach builder ends, still rubs at full turn.

I'm running Fuel Crush wheels 20×10 w/ -18. Wrapped in Nitto Ridge Grapplers 37×13.50×20

I read through all the posts I could find about this issue, and brought up every scenario to the shop that did the work. Nothing has fixed this problem, if anyone has info that would help it would be much appreciated.

I believe this is a common issue with bds and fox coilovers. It’s a known design flaw from the new suspension components and where the shock mount is and the size of the coil. Don’t think there has ever been a fix other than swapping coil overs.

I was hoping that wasn't the case. I've already dropped thousands into this truck trying to get everything perfect.

What's another brand you would recommend, that would perform just as well and give more clearance.

Check out Toytec. They make extended travel/length setups for these lifts.

Try moving your coils back as close to the axle as possible with an alignment. And swap back to stock tie rods.

It happens on mine off-road at a full turn. I only know that because of a little bit of rub marks on the coil and tie rods. I don’t stress about it

Problem with that is now you’re adding more positive castor. Most likely too much. Which will put added strain on the rack and pinion with the big wheels and tires. Too much cause and effect with trying to fix this setup in its current state.

You’ll get less caster and it should be very little. And I’d rather have less caster than hit my coils.

Anyone know about extended travel coilovers vs standard?? I also read on another thread about spacers on the LCA's where the shock mounts, said to allow a slight adjustment. Thanks for all the info guys, really appreciate it

    Agreed..lol
I just get to be a little anal when first customizing my vehicles. I've had a lot of wtf moments with quality parts and shops. But I'm sure it will be fine.

It does make you wonder why Fox hasn't modified the coilovers yet for tundras, knowing this issue exists.

It’s not the coilovers. There’s nothing you can change on them other than putting on a smaller diameter coil. It’s the BDS kit.

Procomp makes a redesigned tie rod that has a bend in it. Not sure if you can purchase it on its own or if it only comes with the kit. Give them a call. It might be what you need.

Do you have the factory tie rods still? Try installing them on the opposite side aka left tie rod on right side and right tie rod on left side

I was thinking about swapping from BDS to Ready Lift or Pro Comp, anyone running these kits with Fox 2.5 Coilovers?

They swapped them at the shop the last time I was in there. And then added coach builders. Still no fix. I'm going to look into the pro comp ones, thanks for the info

On another subject, anyone removed the front sway bar running a 7 inch or higher lift? I'm thinking about it, but not sure how bad the roll would be
