I have had this set of baja design squadron sport ditch lights for about a month and was wondering if it's normal to get some condensation on the inside of the lens after bad weather or if this is a warranty issue. One light is perfect but the other one is shown below. There was some heavy rain and I was in the snow a few days. Just noticed today.

I've read that KC lights sometimes have this happen and it's to be expected and it's not a warranty thing for them.

Going to call BD tomorrow but just wanted to see if others had the same problem. 20220102_161342.jpg

I’ve seen some mixed reviews on BD, CaliRaised, and other big lighting brands. I’ve just went with Amazon cheap versions as they do everything I need them to do.
I haven’t had any personal experience.

    Lots of shenanigans.
I have BD's and haven't noticed any condensation. Maybe contact BD and see what they say.

I went with the BD since they seem more a mid grade, not too expensive. Definitely didn't wanna spend 500 bucks on lights or go too cheap. The output and quality on these seem pretty high with the exception of this issue.

Shouldn't happen, contact BD and they'll take care of you. I had a buddy who had a light bar they didn't even make anymore that was like 7 years old and got condensation in it and they replaced all the seals and stuff and even upgraded the LEDs for him. Besides superior light output, their customer service is next level.

    Alot of them
Are the screws tight? See what they say but I would remove the lens, dry it, and put it back together. Just my opinion.

I could do that no problem but if they have some thread indicators that show it was tampered with they could deny warranty if the issue persists. Screws are tight .

They are serviceable - I mean they sell lens and o-ring kits so I don’t think you’ll have an issue pulling it apart to see if anything is keeping it from sealing.

FWIW, I’ve run the RC bumper valance light bar and BD SAE fogs for a couple years without any issues. Just added some BD S2 ditch lights - so far so good.

Didn't realize that. Maybe I'll open it and put some silicone grease on the o ring.

I pulled mine apart to pull out the cutoff insert on their SAE version - takes longer to clean them off than disassemble / reassemble.

Ya and I can do it while their mounted so I don't have to unplug and get the security bolts out.

Update, I called BD and they were pretty responsive and accommodating. They said taking the lens and o ring off myself would be fine and not void warranty, but offered to check it out for me. Sending it out tomorrow, should have it back by next weekend. All I had to do was prove ownership with an invoice.

Well I am happy to report that BD was able to repair the seal under warranty for free, as promised. Got it back in a week and just threw it back on the truck.

Gotta say I'm happy overall. Gives me confidence in the company.
