2019 TRD PRO with a GoRhino bull bar and plan on getting a driving/combo lighting adjunct to facilitate lighting on unlit mountain roads, wooded work area and off roading at or near my Vermont property.

Pretty much narrowed it down to either of the below choices. Any insight or feedback of one vs the other welcome. Plan on going with the white vs the amber with either choice

I say put squadrons. You can for 4 squadrons in there and that will give you way more output. Also Go with the pros if you want the most light output.

You could mount 4 squadron sport lights on your bull bar with all those mounting holes it has. Do a combination of lenses for some distance and near field. A set of driving and a set of wide cornering or a set of spot and a set of wide cornering or 4 driving lenses

The sports suck, go with the pros. If you do 4 then you can do 2 spot and 2 combos for more coverage

get the pro's and do 2 wide cornering in amber and 2 driving. Or do the same with XL's if they will fit. If it was me I would put 2 Xl80 pro's on there and a set of amber squadron pro's, or 2 sets of the IP6's and 2 squadron pros in amber. Amber is amazing in crappy weather, would never own a rig without a set of amber fogs for those times when they are needed (especially in the mtns).

Hey, Kris, I just bought a pair of sports , thinking I won't be "leading" at speed any time soon and not wanting to blind whoever I'm following. What's your experience about why these suck?

    Because pros are better :D
Just get pros and a switchpro and you can control the brightness. Win win!

But seriously I have had both and the pros are a much better deal.

Wait, what? I didn't know Swotchpro let's me control the brightness. Is this by dimming, or by selecting which lights?

Huh. I know I need to get this, just haven't learned anything about it. Meanwhile, I have 2 pair of BD and one Black Oak LED for the 1st gen and probably need to get a clue.

 I originally bought a pair of the sports due to the price and wasn't that impressed with them. I bought a pair of pros to compare, figured if they weren't much different I would just return them. I noticed a difference with the light output and the coverage. I put the pros on the pillars and ended up using one of the sports as my rear dust light. The pros are ~1500 more lumens and you can see the difference. They almost overpower my 40" Amazon cheapie in my bumper lol.

 "Good morning, Kris!" I'm hoping for the best. There was some back and forth on the recent one day Sports sale thread about how many lumens the Sports being sold that day have. BD chimed in and assured us the Sports pairs sold during the one-day sale, through 4WP and Rago and shipped straight from BD, were the newest version, so 3150 lumens. I haven't installed mine yet, and have no idea how to measure lumens :notsure:, but I'm hoping these will be better than the Sports you bought....

How long ago did you buy yours?

    Here's that:

Would the cornering lights be obstructed by the bull bar? After all the suggestions here I am considering going with the squadron pro driving/combo pair white and the squadron sports amber cornering. The amount of light you are suggesting I am thinking I won't need, but still open for input on that.

Does anyone know if the S8 bar would be dimmable with a switch pro? Considering a 20" and would a lot of light if not dimmable.

    Yep, it will work!
