What do you folks think would be the largest group size battery that would reasonably fit in my engine compartment? I've got a 2008 with the 5.7.
    Thanks

27F .... Check out Toyota - True Start batteries. I bought another one last year - 84 month pro rated warranty, 2 year free replacement. Only the third True Start battery in my '07 Tundra (16 yrs)
Ps - I never had a battery failure, just replaced them every 5 years.

There is a 27f in my 2018. Not much room for more in my opinion. Would be in the way if bigger i think. I'm tempted to go smaller. A 24f AGM has same amps as my standard style 27f.

Search "battery size chart". Battery sizing is standardized. You'll see that 27f is comparatively large. (27f is same size as 27 just has location of +/- switched)
If you find a size you want to check out, just go out and measure to see if there is space for it based on dimensions in the chart.

Some sizes are less common so finding a bigger one might mean a lot more money and/or harder to get.

It depends on the size of your battery tray but I'm pretty sure they are all sized to accept a size 27F battery.

I ran a 31M in my old 2010. It fit, but did require new cables.
