I have a 2021 Limited, it was built in Nov 2020.

Decided to change the battery July of 2024 (wast having any issues) but since this is my vacation truck and I get far away from civilization, I just decided to get a new one before my summer trip.
I replaced the factory battery with the same Toyota True Start from the dealership.

I don't drive the truck real often but the last 3 months if I don't start the truck for 10-14 days or more, it won't start. The truck sits in my shop and very seldom does the shop get below freezing.
And I don't mean the old clicking low battery, this battery is so low that the dome lights won't even come on, even the keyless entry won't lock or unlock.

I put a 15 amp charger on it for 30 minutes and it starts right up.

I wonder if there's a parasitic draw or I got a bad battery?

Could have been an old battery the day it was put in the truck. I would get a new, better battery from a place like Interstate where you’ll actually get a fresh battery. You really should leave a trickle charger on it regardless if you’re leaving it for that much extended periods of time.

I have a 2021 also, build date of 9/20 with the original battery (8k miles) and I don't drive it much in the winter. It may sit for the same amount of time but I put a battery tender on it for a few days. Sometimes I hear the fuel pump cycle and I'm sure there are other amperage draws from the system, most newer vehicles have normal amperage draws. I have a TopDon tester and below is what shows after about a week or so without starting or putting a battery tender on it. I would not recommend putting a quick charge on it. You can disconnect the battery and it will keep most settings like the radio presets but you will lose your trip and distance to empty. It will cut off the first time you start it and then after restarting again it will go through the idle relearn, etc. Be wary of mice, they like the newer soy-based wiring.
