I searched for this but didn’t find it...

I’ll soon install the wireless charger and the power tailgate lock mods so I need to disconnect the battery and then reconnect when finished. On my former vehicles I had to reset all radio stations, etc. after reconnecting. Should I expect the same with the Tundra or has technology improved since 2008 where it will retain settings for a certain amount of time?

I have never had to reset anything when disconnecting the battery. I did it a lot when changing to interior LED.

Just don't freak out if your miles to empty goes wonky. It takes a few miles for that to recalibrate.

    No issues.

I'm going to go with, you're going to lose all your stuff... it's a soft reset.. best way to troubleshoot certain things and eliminate that pesky CEL.

Be careful and do not disconnect. I had no problem when I did mine.

I don't think you'll lose your settings and presets if you disconnect the battery, but I'll agree with @French Avocado

I've installed the wireless charger and tailgate lock on separate occasions on my 2014 and I didn't disconnect the battery..

Although it doesn't hurt to be cautious...:eek2:
Only issue I see is tapping into the wrong wires to trigger the tailgate lock and you have the doors open..
But I had no issues installing mine.

The wireless charger is a no brainer, no power to that circuit (12volt plugs) when the key is off.

    Good luck...
