Battery change/Memory keeper necessary?

Searched... Was vague and centered around radio presets and seat positions.
When switching batteries, outside of not being "smog ready", you guys run into any issues outside of seats and presets?

 

I was surprised when I didn’t lose any presets when I disconnected my battery. I don’t know about seat memory though. As my truck has the basic bitch seat.

 

I’ve heard something similar, but also heard about something you could plug into your cigarette lighter to keep your presets.

Bitch seat was not a Freudian slip either LOL. It’s a bench and the middle seat is the bitch seat LMFAO Also it has no power.

 

I didn't loose any memory presets on my sr5

Why are all you Northstar folks putting the 27F battery in reverse.. Thought the F reversed polarity

 

Maybe I'm looking at your picture wrong. It appears as if you rotated the battery 180 degrees to get the positive terminal closest to the engine otherwise the writing and the expiration tabs would be facing the front where its easily readable to the user. Then again, the majority have non centered posts.

Thats the dilemma.. Look at half of our members high end batteries. Almost every picture is the same.

Thats one clean engine compartment by the way.. Lol.

 

As long as the positive and negative posts are in the right location sticker placement on the battery doesn’t matter.

 

Did you upgrade your terminals to make it work or fit? Are those factory. Forgive me for not going out and looking at mine right now.

 

This is pure curiosity guys.. No criticism, another member on another thread offered a great vendor at a great price, and since my battery is a 2015 and eclipsed 4 years in the California Valley heat.. Im pulling the trigger and doing my due diligence.

It seems to be logical to place it this way however, as the cables don't have to stretch along the entire width of the battery.

I guess what makes it confusing is if you were facing the stickers, the positive would be on the right. So when you are looking at pictures online it can be a little confusing. Especially since some places use a stock photo and not the actual picture of the battery or product you are looking for.

 

Precisely. Well at $342 no tax, free ship, it was worth the confusion. Just ordered Northstar NSB-AGM27F
Its back ordered or coming from the factory so at least I'm getting a fresh one.
