Does anyone know if the front corners should fit better or more flush? I’ve tried making adjustments and it seems the corner pieces laying flat on the rail isn’t right. Attached pics are of the front compared to the back. There are limited installation instructions, not to mention the ones that came with it are not tundra specific. Thanks for anyones help or advice.

This is a QC issue with the MX4 without a doubt. I received an MX4 about 2 weeks ago and the elevator bolts didn’t line up at all with the side brackets. They then shipped me another brand new cover, and I had the same exact issue. They are now sending me a third cover and have ensured their production managers with be heavily involved to ensure everything lines up correctly.

I’d call them if I were you and send them pictures to show that your side bracket was cut incorrectly. The end cap on the back end of your side bracket should be flush with that notch in your bed. Also, check out BAKindustries web page for the 22 tundra-specific installation instructions. Hope that’s helpful.

I guess it's a slightly different design but here's a picture of my Bakflip F1. I can definitely confirm that Bakflip has some serious quality control issues going on with the covers for the new Tundra. My cover leaks like nothing I've ever seen, LOL. I have to give the company credit though, I spoke with a representative on the phone and then emailed them pictures. I had confirmation in less than 48 hours that they were sending me an entire new unit. They didn't try to make excuses or give me a hard time in any fashion.

was the cover secured on in that picture? doesn't look like its square to the front bed panel, and looks like some awful rubbing on the side rail and front there, thats terrible, glad they didn't give you the run around

Yes, it's secure and square. For whatever reason, it doesn't go straight across the cab end, space is even on each side (see different angle pic). Cover doesn't rub at all, the scuffs you see is from a different manufacturer recommending the spray on liner be removed for a better seal, so I removed the spray on from across the top.

Installed my Bakflip MX4 today - the rails provided were a bit different how they met the front of the box near the cab - sorry no pics of that as the sun was killing me- no shade to work in! The metal plates the threaded bolts go through were fixed at different locations about 1/2 to 1in difference & the rails fit up against the cab cargo rail differently - pass side butts up against it & drivers side had to pas it & butt up against the bed proper, but it all worked so I’m not gonna mess with it.

Here's how mine is sitting. I can still adjust forward/back if needed based on where more water is intruding.
