Bak X4S install

Just installed my X4S and wanted to provide some feedback/tips. When received, one of the side rails was bent (Almost 90 deg) at the end and couldn’t install. Also, the other side rail had a piece of weatherstripping that did not run the entire length. Called Bak and they were extremely helpful. Appears to be a shipper issue and not manufacturing. Immediately built 2 new side rails and overnighted. Great customer service.
While unrolling the cover, both plastic end caps broke off. Be very cautious when you place on the rails to unroll. Make sure you are not placing weight on the end caps on the rails. These caps are very fragile. Emailed Bak for replacements, waiting for response.
Other than that, install video and instructions were very good. 2 discrepancies, I have the 6’7” bed and the instructions say to install 5 clamps. You will install 6. Instructions also state those with a bed electrical outlet will have a different clamp. All 12 of my clamps were identical and installed with no problem. All in all, happy so far.

 

Update. Received end caps from Bak. They actually sent 2 pairs. Very happy with the install.
