Can a bad wheel bearing set off the traction control? Had a broken connection in the wheel speed circuit. Replaced the rear harness and all the Christmas lights went away. But have had traction control limit acceleration twice when turning. When breaking lightly there is a nice shimmy of feedback in the steering wheel.

My tundra will flash traction control light when inside wheel slips in the wet on hard turns under acceleration. The shimmy is probably more related to front brake issues. I had a light shimmy when braking that went away after replacing just the pads. My rotors indicated less than .002 tir, at least in the couple areas i tested them on.
