    Greetings.

a couple of days ago after a cold start (and confirmed again yesterday) the oil light on my dash illuminated after the engine warmed up. I checked the oil it was full, there are no unusual sounds from the engine, and everything seems normal. I checked the computer and there are no active or pending codes. The pressure gauge on the dash goes to about 3/4 when it cold started, and once the engine is warm it is right in the middle, no change there either. how often would the sensor go bad, and if so wouldn't i expect it to affect the gauge? I may just load the parts cannon and replace it, but I need to figure out where it lives and wanted to see if you folks have any other ideas.
    Thanks.

It may be the oil sender unit that may be going out, and that would reside next to the oil filter.... There is a youtube channel, I do cars who breaks down blown engines. I believe he has 2 5.7L vids up and can instruct where some parts are and how to remove them

Just to close this one out... The new pressure sensor fixed it.
