I bought my 2024 Base Model (apparently, didn't know) TRD in December. After I got home, I realized it didn't have backup sensors. Those things that beep at you before you wreck your garage door from backing into your driveway. Anyway, I called the salesman and he said to look at the back to be sure. Yep. No sensors. Grr. Anyway, unless I upgrade to a Platinum or something I'm just out of luck.

Has anyone successfully added any of these types of sensors to their truck or have any other recommendation? I have a rear view cam, but a beep would be nice just to be sure. :)

    Thanks!

There are aftermarket systems for that. They would not work them same as the oem they won’t prevent collisions. You just get the beeping

Thanks! All I want is a beep. Thanks! Has anyone actually had one of these installed? I was told by service not to interface with the computer system or it would cause a lot of problems. Thanks!

Way back in 2011 I installed a system on my wife’s Camry. Don’t remember the brand but it didn’t have any sort of display. It was just a speaker/ controller mounted over the dash. I just got power from the fuse box, something that was only powered when the car was on. Everything worked fine. It was a little nerve racking drilling the holes. Measure and measure and measure and check clearance multiple times before drilling. I used a step bit to drill the holes, it cuts cleaner than a hole saw.
