This is on a 2008 Sequoia but I don’t see a place specifically for those. Figure this would be close to the same. I was getting a really bad image when in reverse and on the screen. Figured the camera was bad and swapped it out with another camera. Still having the same problem. Tried tugging on the wires/connector at the camera and the image didn’t change.

Everything g else on the screen (nav, music, etc) looks just fine. My next guess is a possible bad connection behind the head unit. Thoughts? Images attached to show what I’m experiencing.

Had this on my 2012 Tundra years ago. Dealer suggested a new camera but I was leery about going down that very expensive path with a dealership. So I swapped the camera, swapped the mirror (display), swapped the harness in the tailgate. Nothing worked. I finally took it to a local car audio/alarm shop and the guy actually spent some time troubleshooting instead of just throwing parts at it (dealership). He determined the wire carrying the signal back to the display was compromised somewhere and just ran a new wire. He charged me like a couple hours' labor (~$120?).

thats a great idea. I’ll look up a local audio and alarm guy and see if they can troubleshoot it. Thanks!
