Here’s my problem. I pull a trailer for my “after hours” work. I’m having one issue. The truck has the rear radar that activates when I’m reversing. Well with my trailer back there while reversing, it just sqeals and is quite annoying. So to the meat of the matter.

    Can this be turned off?

Noir sure with the tundra but i had that Samething with my pos expedition.... there was no way to turn it off in that thing.

Hopefully someone is able to answer this quickly for you!

It’s a 6x10 enclosed. I normally leave in tow/haul when I’m w/trailer. I’m about 99% sure I don’t turn off tow/haul when reversing. No sarcasm intended. I just do a lot of things from muscle memory. So next time I hook up and pull I’ll consciously verify it’s in tow/haul while I reverse.

That's weird. Ok for someone to ride your ass without it going off then? You'd think if it was going off backing up it'd go off all the time for being too close to the censor. Good luck

I may only be 32 but I drive like an old lady. Most people pass me and don’t tail gate a lot. But I was under the assumption the rear “radar” proximity warning was only on when the truck was in reverse.

There's a button on the dashboard on my Gen 2, the one on the bottom in the row of four buttons right of the gauge cluster. It's labeled "Sonar" it turns off the beeps from the front and rear proximity sensors.

Have you tried turning off the parking assist? There should be a button on the dash to toggle on/off. I have a 2018 and can turn on/off the TSS when needed. I haven’t towed anything yet with the new truck though so I’m interested to see what you find out...

Where is the parking assist toggle located? I’m not in my truck now but I will look for it tomorrow.

Mine is Just below and to the right of the steering wheel. Next to the tow/haul button. I’m not in the truck right now so unfortunately can’t take a picture. I know it has a capital “P” with a parking cone on it though. Hope that helps!

Right side of the steering wheel. Above the trailer brake whammy bar. Turn it off and you'll be good to go.
