Back up LED bulbs 921 and 7440 the same

3” lift, black step bars, aftermarket wheels, LT305/55R20 was this way when I brought it.

Are 921 and 7440 the same?

I am getting mixed information. I would like to replace my back up bulbs so that I can see better with the tint. When I search for these bulbs I get most sites telling me that the direct replacement is a 921 but 7440 will work. I have an '2015 CM ... can someone help me?

I bought 7440 for reverse, 721 for cargo light, and 194 for the interior dome lights.
