Well like all those ignorant fools before me and the ones that are sure to come in the future, I sold my Phantom Gray 06 DC 4WD with 71k miles on it back in November. It spent it’s 1st 8 years and 20k miles in Wisconsin, so there’s was a lot of surface rust that I removed.

I then bought a 07 4Runner 4WD with 60k miles on it, because I had one in college and wanted something different.

I found a 06 DC 4WD with 72k miles on it with no rust for $15k in a neighboring state and jumped on it. Nothing beats the way these things drive and the way you feel when you drive one. Glad to be back, will be throwing money into this new Timberland Mica one soon as I get the 4Runner sold.

If you made it this far maybe you’re willing to go a little further,

In search of a DC camper shell, preferably in the SouthEast, let me know if you have one you want to sell.

Now you need to update your avatar.

It’s funny because I think @Kimosabe just picked up a DC on the same color with a cap that he pulled of but intends to keep laying around, I think? Hopefully I got that right. Brain is a little scrambled, and it’s not from hanging out at cafes.

My "new" truck is blue. My "old" truck was green. I'm gonna keep the topper for a bit. And unfortunately while I grew up in the south, I am nowhere near there now. People forget Idaho boarders Oregon.

I've been kicking around the idea of a 4th gen 4runner. What do you like better about the tundra?

It’s great if you want something smaller and no bed, and have no kids. It’s narrower and the back seat has less space, and no 6 + ft bed. The 4.7 V8 also sounds way better and you just enjoy driving it more then the 4.0 V6.

Now if you can find a 4.7 V8 4th Gen 4Runner, grab it for sure, because you know there will never be another one
