I own a 2001 Sequoia, I bought it used. The previous owner removed the upper and lower support cylinders for the lift-gate. I finally purchased the OEM parts. My only question is what bolt size do I need to screw these in and what length. I can’t find this info anywhere. I’m including pictures of the parts and part numbers. I would greatly appreciate any and all help.

This is just a complete WAG (wild ass guess) but probably either 6 or 8 mm.

Take one of those brackets to Home Depot and see what diameter bolt fits the hole in the bracket. If an 8mm won't fit then buy an M6 bolt (1.0 thread pitch) for like 50 cents and see if it threads in.

My WAG is it probably needs to 12, maybe 16 MM long, but buy a 20MM length and see how much threads in before it bottoms out. If it bottoms out at 14MM, buy M6 X 12's

Just an idea... for a couple of bucks with some trial and error you can figure out what works.

Also see how much clearance you have for the head of the bolt, if it's tight you may need a lower profile than a regular hex head, button head socket or something.

I wonder why he took them off, even if they were dead I'd still leave 'em in place till I got replacements.

Ace hardware saved my butt on this one! I replaced my entire liftegate system m. I am now having issues removing my 3rd row seats. I want to do a deep clean and I have plans to move some things in about 2 weeks.
