It's not a death sentence, unless of course the axles stay when you winch it out, like what happened to a buddy of mine in the deep gumbo mud of south Louisiana.

Why would one even attempt to drive through something like that in a vehicle that nice? If you have a dedicated off-road beater I would get it. My truck is 17 years old and I would never drive through something like that.

I hate that saying, that's like saying "I'm poorer than you, but I'm smarter than you. Let me pat my back so I feel better." That's how I see it anyway.

People do what they want with the shit they have, bottom line. Who knows, that Tundra might be the crappiest vehicle they own. Anyway, it's about working hard and playing hard.

Like the dude that owns this thing.

Everyone should get stuck in the mud atleast once or twice, just to find the limits of your truck. But maybe some mud not quite as deep as that, there was no chance he was getting through that. I'm sure he learned his lesson.

I see that statement as people that appreciate the value of a dollar won't typically do something like this. but you are right, to each his own.

Money is a strange topic, but to me, value is perceived. Money only brings value once spent. A dollar in and of its self is nothing but fancy paper and fancy ink. There is no value there. You can't eat or drink a dollar. You can't experience a dollar, but you can trade it. Value comes in when it is traded for an item or experience. The more you have to trade the less valuable it is. Money is weird like that.

    Yep. Been there, done that...

Got stuck at Azusa when I was 17 in my 84 Bronco II. Good thing the San Gabriel Offroad Association folks were there to bail my ass out.

One of the few mud pits in So Cal. I have only been to the pit a couple of times, but GMR and ACH were my regular steam letting off spots.
