I just swapped out my SwitchPro 9100 for the RCR-Force 12 and got so close to getting everything finished but not quite before my surgery. My buddy is going to finish it up for me but added a few more switches for the new lights. I add the 3 sets below at the corners.

I did not take a lot of the install. Before the surgery I had the use of my left arm but it was not cooperating with me very well

Random post here but I figure it could help someone else at some point.

I had a door lock actuator go out, and OEM units are $250. Aftermarket units are $100ish. I didn’t like either option so I did some research.

    bought this:

    https://www.amazon.com/Central-Actuator-FC-280PC-22125-Spindle-Locking/dp/B00BYD0QVK?crid=3185GCY2TFYNA&keywords=10mm+Flat+Shaft+Central+Door+Lock+Actuator+Motor+FC-280PC-22125+FLAT+SHAFT%2C+D+Spindle%2C+Power+Locking+Repair+Engine&qid=1643291354&sbo=RZvfv%2F%2FHxDF+O5021pAnSA%3D%3D&sprefix=10mm+flat+shaft+central+door+lock+actuator+motor+fc-280pc-22125+flat+shaft%2C+d+spindle%2C+power+locking+repair+engine%2Caps%2C396&sr=8-5

    and watched this video:

    https://youtu.be/AbRTg7L5nsE

It was super easy. I take no credit for this other than finding the motor on Amazon instead of eBay lol. Realistically took an hour from opening the door of my truck to being done, would probably take me 30 min scree doing it once.

Edit: yes the video is based on a 2008 but it was identical for my 2018.

The wife wanted something to drive so we searched just when all this crap broke loose and the prices of vehicles were stupid. I told her even though she just sold her car we both work from home, have one vehicle and a Golf Cart so let’s wait it out. Went on vacation and got a call from a dealer in Iowa with exactly what she was looking for at a cheaper price than we were willing to pay…

2 days later that 4Runner was in my driveway after I flew out and saved $13K. Guess where the $13K is now going…

@TRDFerguson karma bit me in the ass for making fun of your “chase lights”
After work I got in the truck and noticed my cargo lamp button illuminated, I have no idea if I/or when it was turned on? Momma bear drove it last night, so I’ll blame it on her. Luckily I’ve got LEDs in it, so hopefully I didn’t melt the reflector

Congrats, looks great! Were you at Discount Tire, on Gilbert & Riggs, Thursday evening? I saw this 4Runner, or one that looked exactly like that, leaving there at 6 pm

Yes we had a 5:00 appointment and they removed 5 wheels and tires, swapped the TPMS’s, mounted/balanced all 5 of the new ones and got the new spare set up and we left the parking lot just before 6:00. That was us.

I sold the wheels and tires in less than 24 to a guy in Tucson

For you guys that are familiar with the box canyon/Florence area, any recommendations on dispersed camping spots that are away from the crowds but within 30 minutes or so of where the 60 and 79 meet? I'm gonna be down that way next weekend. Won't have time to run trails but might try and camp instead of getting a hotel or airbnb. From satellite it looks like I could just pick any random dirt road that looks interesting, but I won't have all day to drive around looking.

There are a bunch of spots along Cottonwood road off 79, just depends on your definition of away from the crowds I guess…

There was a lot of traffic up and down the road, but you can find spots pretty far off there if desired. I’ve never camped there though, just been one of those assholes driving way too fast on Cottonwood.
