Pretty annoyed. I have a 2022 1794. One of the biggest convienences of have a key is not having to dig through my
Pocket to get keys. I can start the truck with out a key, I can unlock the truck with out a key but need to fob to lock it as I walk away. All these new cars lock automatically when you walk away or let you press the button in the handle.

    am I missing something?
I have tried setting the auto lock to 30 seconds and I’d doesn’t do anything.

if I’m press the lock button on the inside of the door when I get out, it locks the door but doesn’t fold the mirrors.

I don’t know if I’m missing something here but if you touch the line on the front/top of your door handle with the fob in your pocket the doors will lock and the mirrors will fold

Agree that it really sucks they don't lock automatically but yes, you are missing something. Touch the outside handle top and bottom on the front part and it will lock.

Also, there's a button (round) on the tailgate handle, just to the right of the button to release/drop the tailgate; the round button will also lock the doors.

This is amazing. Haven’t pressed that one yet but always wondered why it was there. Thanks for sharing

I prefer this way so mirrors don't fold, unless in crowded area.

Very true but if he bought it new, that's something the dealer should have gone over on initial walk through.

That's a stretch, IMO. There's no way a dealer salesman can cover every detail of these trucks in an initial walk-thru. It would take hours, and it would be overwhelming to the purchaser. Maybe it's just me, but less is more at the dealership. Just let me sign the paperwork and get out of there. I like figuring out my vehicles on my own.

Salespeople at a dealership don't know the difference between a muffler and an exhaust tip or an engine cover and a skid plate. Nothing they say should be taken as anything but the impressions of a half retarded child. They can't even properly convey simple things like "Do not install a front plate holder" or "Do not run it through your car wash" with any kind of regularity. I have zero faith that they know anything more than how much of the price is their cut, because that is all they care about.

We each have our preferences. I prefer to have the mirrors fold when it's locked; that's my visual cue that it's locked and I can confirm from across the parking lot. At 76, my memory sometimes forgets things that I do by rote! ;)

Wow. I've had nothing but good experience with my dealership and the sales guy. He spent a good hour with me going over stuff including how to lock the doors.

I shop all over, so I don't have a single dealership or salesperson. Finding a good one is the rarity in my experience.

Lol my guy walked a paper back and forth to an unseen manager then pointed where to go to get financing and had an intern show me a couple of things. Toyota dealerships are pretty sucky quite frankly compared to my lexus and bmw dealership experiences

Mine isn’t that bad…courteous, honest and at least the appearance of caring which is all I am asking for (everything else is bonus).

…and given the slightly different price points/market I would hope the luxury market dealers are going “above and beyond”

    Agree…but few read those anymore.

Having it available on our Volvo XC90 screen menu was one of the greatest things I thought (manual on the fly)

My service at another Toyota dealership was more sucky. I like the truck but the customer experience is the worst
