I kept looking at my radio screen and backup camera and it looked dark in the daylight. After inspecting I realized that my auto lights are not turning off during the daylight. They will turn off if I do it manually. Any ideas on the problem?

Do you maybe have a tint strip covering the sensor? If i park in the shade it will act like it's dark out.

    Is anything blocking the sensor?

On my 2018, the sensor is on the center of the dash, that little black dome. Did they move the location on the 2019? The sensor up by the rear view mirror on mine is for the automatic high beams.

So I had no clue that sensor was there. A envelope was actually covering it. Thanks for the help.

Toyota should work on fixing the simple IBC circuit plagued with issues for many years ... before adding auto headlights or any other useless "auto" features!
The idiots running the show at the headquarter missed the memo.

Ah yes have definitely read many issues on that. Seems there is a fix by dealer flash though if you are affected by it.

That's what I thought or read but some or many still have problems after the flash.

I have a 19 and have only towed a buddies boat and didn't have any issues but plan to buy a travel trailer and hope I don't fall victim to the issue, it seems it can be pretty trailer dependent too.

That's right. Many buy the Tekonsha P3 and Tundra wiring harness and mounting plate. I guess it's so bad that they make and market a special wiring harness and plate for the Tundra. lol
