    Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone has upgraded from regular SR5 climate controls to the digital unit? Is it plug and play or do I need to add a temp sensor?

    Anyone completed this?

As far as I know, nobody has done it because of the blend door issue. Fairly confident that every 2014+ Tundra with manual controls has a single blend door. The auto AC trucks have a dual blend door (it’s split in two separate sections)

With only a single blend door you will never be able to control the temperature to the passenger side which makes the dual zone panel pointless.

The 2-3 hvac boxes I have seen inside of are all single zone from 2014 and 2015 lower trim trucks. Almost all the 2007-2013 trucks were dual blend door and even the manual controls were dual zone back then.

You would most likely have to swap the HVAC box for it to work correctly. Requires removing the entire dash. Past that you need more servos, a servo wiring harness, a new ac ecu, and the control panel. Oh yea also the interior temp sensor and wiring.

Thanks for the reply, yeah I get why people haven't done it, would need way to much to be worth it.

Bumping this thread... I also have a 2016 SR5 without auto climate control. Theoretically could I swap out for the auto and not care if it's dual zone or not, just like the look and feel of the digital display? Or would it only heat / cool one side of the vehicle? Sure dual zone would be nice but it's not a big game changer for me.
