Hello, I live in Minnesota and I’m getting new tires. I went with the Toyo AT3 getting them put on tomorrow l. We don’t have snow yet where I am but I’ve heard that you get better traction in the snow with lower tire pressures. What is a good recommended tire pressure for max traction in the snow?

I run 36 psi on my Wildpeaks regardless.

Yes we live in Minnesnowta, but honestly, how often are you actually on snow pack?

Keep the correct air pressure. You should not air down for regular travel in snow. Stuck in a deep drift or off-road sure, but not for normal snow travel on roads.

If the new tires are a different load rating or size vs the stockers, the air pressure needed will be different. Here is a good tool to get you in the ballpark of correct air pressure when switching to larger/smaller or different load rating tires.
