I've tried to research and ask on the Fb groups but usually turns into a argument instead of just whats better would any one here have input on a long tube header setup that will be ran to 3 inch exhaust i wouldn't mind JBA because of the price but ARH claims some notable gains with Dap tune. has any one done dap with the JBA and got a dyno run to compare #s also note im NA

The differences between the two brands is very minimal as far as design. Obviously one is hand built and one is built more like a production line. But I’ve had very minimal issues with either brand. And I say this after selling literally hundreds of sets of headers over the years.

Our 5.7’s are basically a glorified small block 350. The header design was perfected years, uh, DECADES ago.

Also, regardless of what the roving bands of haters say, consider a Bullydog. They wrote a tune just for long tubes. Matter of fact BullyDog and I spent a considerable amount of time testing said tune to squeeze maximum power and drive ability out of this tune. I can promise you it keeps AFR in a very safe range. And it changes ignition timing and cam phasing.

Please feel free to give a call. I have access to any of the above brands and will help engineer the perfect system based on your goals and your budget.

thank you for the reply Keith I'm not 100% set on DAP tune honestly if i could ever get enough time off from work i would love to take my truck to our tuner/builder for my drag car since the release of HP tuners but on the bullydog note i see so many mixed opinions on it as far as reliability especially with the transmission something about it messing with the shift points? i cant remember exactly. any insight on that?

I have already added the DAP, the tune is supposed to learn & adjust to any future changes I make to the exhaust.

have you made noticeable gains just from the tune itself? im assuming no headers yet?

Stock intake & exhaust, and the improvements in power and drive-ability from the tune are easily noticeable to me. The truck is a pleasure to drive, more so than before.
