Starting to get some parts ordered to build my truck up and have an ARE shell on order. I had an ARE “Z” on my Tacoma and liked the quality so went with ARE again. This time ordered a different model with some options like windoors and factory installed rails. ARE sell’s Yakima and I’m a Thule guy so I hope to reuse all my current Thule parts and only order new feet or a fit kit. I’m hoping I can get some insight in to the factory rails. Who has em and are they a standard track style? The ARE dealer couldn’t answer specific questions I had so thought I’d ask here. Anybody had both a Leer and ARE with roof rails? Thanks for any help!

I had a similar issue matching rino rails to a uptop overland rack. the good news is the feet are very cheap and you should be able to fine feet to go from Yakima rails to Thule rack if I get you right...

Thanks for the links guys, I ordered fit kit 3101 from REI which is returnable if it doesn’t work. Need to get the 460 feet, hope to find some used locally. I already have 480 feet with the right fit kit for the cab, got a NOS set off eBay. Now I need to sell the 480 foot fit kit for my 2nd gen Tacoma! I didn’t think about machining the right t-nuts for the shell! That’s be pretty simple to mill and tap some. i just hope the rubber adapter part fits right.
