My driver's seat has 2 problems (unrelated to each other).

First one is an intermittent loud squeaking....and 50% of the time it only starts
after sitting in the seat for around an hour....it might not be "replicable" when
I bring it to the dealer....(as always seems to be the case).

Second one (which I noticed about 6 months ago) is....there is some kind of "cloth flap" (maybe 18 inches across, almost the length of the seat)
hanging down from the underside of the seat (front part)...
I can only describe it as something that now hangs (incorrectly) over the "black adjustment bar" (near your ankles)
that we use to move seat forward and back. That "cloth flap" or "liner" from the underside of the seat
has some kind of plastic attachment at it's edge (which hangs down and touches that black adjustment bar (or covers it sometimes)...
I'm guessing that plastic strip (attachment) got disconnected from something..I guess it was covering the foam on the underside of seat. But it seems that alot of the
the cloth "liner" (or whatever it is) below the drivers seat is loosened up in various places all
    around the bottom.
Naturally, I looked under my passenger seat, for
    comparison, to
see what it "should" look like...but i still don't know whats going on. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
(It's surprising, because I'm always pretty "gentle" with the seats. But I have brought it to car washes...where
the "vacuum guys"....do things roughly....who knows...)

I was going to wait until I had other reasons to bring it to the dealer, but now
I'm just thinking of taking it in for only this.......Are these things generally covered? Thanks for any info.

If you are within your bumper to bumper warranty period, yes, covered repair.

I had the same cloth flap problem. It's going to be hard to explain, but there's a metal bar it clips on to on the seat frame. You kind of have to fold it over and clip it on. I would clip it back on, then it would eventually pop off. I cured it by removing the seat and bending the metal bar it snaps on to, up towards the seat, so it tightened things up.

Interesting........they did fix it by removing the seat.....and luckily, that seems to have fixed the noise (which I thought
    was unrelated)....
