Apple car play map black grids

I’ve recently noticed in my map in CarPlay that when I’m following directions on a route that there are black grids creeping up from the bottom of my screen. It only happens when I’m following directions, not when the map is just on. I know it’s probably not the truck but probably an apple thing since it just started after an update I’m sure. Anyone else notice this?

 

It just keeps creeping up from the bottom like this

 

This same issue happened to me tonight on a 1 hr trip.
Black creeping screen while navigating. Hope tundra provides some direction.

 

I think it’s an apple issue. I’ve never had an issue with CarPlay until I did a recent update
