I have a 20 Plat with JBL. Underwhelmed with the audio system and plan on adding an amp, processor, components and a sub.

I am keeping the stock head unit. I really like Apple Air Play , but am pretty annoyed that you have to use the plug to have the Air Play work. One thing I did notice, that when
Using Spotify via the plugged in Air Play, the audio quality is vastly superior than using Spotify and blue tooth streaming to the head unit.
Pretty interesting, wondering if others have noticed this contrast, and will it continue after I do my upgrade. I was completely satisfied with blue tooth streaming to stock head unit in my F150 (had upgraded the rest of the system to what i plan On doing in the Tundra).

Either way, Pretty annoyed that Apple Air Play only works when hard wired.

I also disliked the wired CarPlay which is why when I upgraded my HU I picked the Pioneer 7" HU - AVH-W4400NEX which is wireless CarPlay that goes great with my wireless charger in the armrest. My 2019 Pro didn't come with the new CarPlay option however so it was a bit easier to fork over the coin for that upgrade.

Wired is very easy and always more reliable. I chose not to go wireless. Simple mount with magnet and case, pop on and plug in and charging and CarPlaying in no time. No big deal.
