    Hello everyone!

I'm looking at buying this 05 Toyota tundra limited double cab in the next few days. I was looking at the photos and noticed that in the far lookers upper right there is a fill bottle and some mechanisms (circled in red, also sorry I do not know what it's called and I do not know what it does). But from my experience, it looks like somethings missing and it also looks like it's an aftermarket piece. If you all could let me know if this is okay, or if this looks fishy it would be a great help! Thank you in advance! (Photo below)

Oh boy, that's the brake fluid reservoir isn't it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

it’s the brake fluid reservoir. And it’s also the abs assembly all built into one

What am I missing here...hard to tell from the picture but everything looks like it’s there, the usual grease shine on the parts except what you have circled though.

Yea looks like the normal crusty engine bay.. nothing to really see there.

I’d be more focused on if the frames safe

Yea this style abs system is VERY expensive to replace if it fails. (2-3 grand) so be sure to test out the abs if you can. As in try to lock the wheels up

One thing that is missing is the timing belt change sticker that goes on the air box after it has been replaced. Water pump get done at the same time. Should have been changed at 100k miles. Not sure how many miles the truck has but you should ask if it’s been replaced.

In that pic the end of the master cylinder does look odd, as if there is a hole where something would mount at the end.

Where is the brake booster that's normally mounted on the firewall?

Also, not every place adds a sticker. I had my timing belt changed at the dealer and they didn't put a sticker anywhere.

Accumulator based. Not a regular braking system. All electronic

@empty_lord ...is this what the VSC systems look like?

OP....get the VIN, register it here and you can look at it's Toyota Dealer service history (or at least you may seem some there, it's not always recorded) and you can see all the options it had when new...
