IMHO...these larger blowers are not for punching stock internals to 700hp.

these larger blowers are for when we blow up our stock internals & decide to become grizzly bears with mondo builds.

My understanding is the 2650 produced a 50% cooler air charge than the 1900 due to spinning less. I like that. I don't intend to exceed the capabilities of the 2650. (famous last words)

I'm a grown ass man & can't sit still while my truck is getting tuned. I'm stopping by today to recon progress.

Does D3 use a Hub or wheel dyno? The hub dynos usually do read higher with no loss spinning the tires.

Did I mention D3 would put my trans cooler on if they had time? *

If so, I might have to purge all those unused cuss words here on the forum. fair warning.

*I need to pick it up Friday afternoon, because my son is coming down from school & we have a list of crap to do.

When you do…:bananadance: Come by and pickup your neighbor for a ride!…. Its got me dreaming too… But  with gas prices heading up(91oct)… and electric cars around the corner(probably a gas tax(penalty) coming)… I kinda like leaving the 10 grand sitting in the bank for now.. But, we’ll see. I never say never. (Except around my wife):D

I’m also in PA and I’d be even more soured right now with the premium gas prices if I didn’t have a company supplied work truck. I just filled up last night and paid $4.05/gallon for 93. If I had to daily drive my tundra I’d be looking for a cheap Corolla to commute.

I take pride in seeing the rich-burning sooty exhaust from a half pedal approach to an on ramp...from both sides of Truck Via TRD exhaust.

Stage 2 should be even more delightful.

I shall rename it the VALDEEEZ.

to expound on the gas price issue & tie it to forced induction...

I still have the ability to get ~18mpg on the highway. even after 6psi of boost. The boost bypass is genius.

and...I can merely step on the pedal on be Mr. Hyde.

Sounds like he has a tough dyno! I’d be curious what the AFRs were during all of the runs. I take it he didn’t comment yet on the MAF flow?

good point - I'll discuss AFR's with them.

    I reckon the MAF will show it's face today...if it's a restriction.

edit - remember injectors get added in the Stage 2 upgrade.

    favor - y'all do a chicken-bone voo-doo dance to help it get to 500whp.

The answer to this question is yes the TVS2650 170 degree rotor design helps with thermal efficiency at lower boost levels like our kit with the 85mm pulley. The Titan kit uses the 2300 due to cowl clearance issues with the 2650. The 2300 does suit the VK56 engine well due to some limits with fuel system/tuning going beyond the supplied pulley. I have often wondered if the 2300 would suit the 3ur better but as we've seen with our Titan kit customers will ask for the biggest blower available even if they don't plan on taking advantage of the power potential beyond the supplied pulley. (built motor, fuel system, exhaust system ect)

    Stopped by the D3

Going well. the tundra was pulling a lot of timing out during throttle

    explains the squishy 1-2 shift

    all cleaned up now

It did 7lbs of boost. Max of 8. That’s stage 1. It’s cooler today

    safe a/f ratios

Has anyone on the stage 1 without a tune swapped over to the maggie airbox lid? Wondering if it will throw a code prior to taking it over to Prospeed for my stage 2 upgrade. I'd rather do that 2 minute install myself, the only tricky part is fitting hose/coupler included with the harrop kit to fit the 4" hole on the airbox. Might need some silicon spray to make it fit, had trouble before and gave up lol.

the graph on the stage 1 tune looked smooth and strong...they noticed they needed to add a smidge of timing up near 5500.

the untuned graph had bumps where the ecu was pulling timing.

stage 2 goes on today - testing Friday morning

it's looking like 475 to the wheels if I had to guess.

the injectors have to be tuned from scratch. no data on them.

    we'll see.

I'm guessing some of ya'll did not use the chicken bones during the aforementioned voo-doo dance.
