So i've always been a diesel owner. Makin big power with them is fairly easy.

In January I got into a 2011 CM Limited.

So as some of you may or may not have seen I took out my lift and 35s and went down to a level and some 295/60s.

I want to make this truck decently quick.

Once my lift sells ill be getting a good set of long tubes for it. Ill be using unichip tuning and deleting all 4 cats. 3" duals dumped over the axle with flowmasters more than likely. May or may not use cutouts....still thinking on that.

I've also been looking into the Zex wet nitrous kit. Its an adjustable 75-150 shot. Also comes with TPS learning for WOT signal spraying. I've read about a lot of tundra owners running this kit with no issues. Id be running it conservatively.

Last but not least I want to throw a supercharger on it.

I know these 5.7 engines are pretty stout.

Any of you running big power numbers? Hows the reliability?

Once you go above 600hp you are going to need to change the internals. Long tubes on a supercharger doesn't really do anything power wise it only makes the power more useable meaning with the supercharger it will run the same power but 1 or 2 psi of boost less which is good. If your going big like 1000hp i reccommend twin turbo setup.i would use either dap or bully dog as for the tune with the tundra.

What is your ultimate goal for your truck? The 3urfe will never make the power of a diesel or LS block dollar for dollar.
Don't confuse reliability with stout. It is very reliable but far from stout. Open deck block, torque to yield bolts, multiple long timing chains etc limit the amount of power you can make on a stock block.
A supercharger @7psi will get you to 450rwhp, add headers and maybe get close to 500..this is the limit of keeping it 'factory' reliable
Add a smaller pulley @10-14 psi and good tune and you are at the limit of the shortblock( as tundra_power mentioned 600hp is where pistons, rods, headgaskets start blowing up)

Sounds like you might want to go back to a diesel, or get a Chevy ls truck.... higher horsepower always means lower reliabilty, the higher you go the lower the reliabilty... and fixing or upgrading an LS is alot cheaper then fixing a 3URFE

For reference, TRD supercharger, stock exhaust :

I would like to keep it at or below 600hp. Ive thought about Turbo but that's a lot of fab work I don't have to place or time to do unfortunately. And then harder tuning. Id like to go with tuning that can be custom. I have access to dynos in my town. Just need good tuning software.

I really like this Tundra. Im not looking to have the power and torque like my diesels did...but how often do you see a quick Tundra? Not too often. Im not looking for a 10 second truck....just a truck that makes people go "whoa....wasn't expecting that".

I would maybe suggest hp tuners custom tune. For 600hp or less Magnuson supercharger with arh long tube headers trd intake. Also dirty deeds knows lots of stuff getting big hp from tundra. Also if you do lots of city go with 4.88 gears LSD or a air locker.

Talk to HPtuners, they have something out for the 5.7 now and there are at least a few custom 5.7 builds out there. Skip the piggyback tuners

Toyota themselves got 2000hp out of the 5.7 in the Land Speed Cruiser "concept"

Also, the 5.0L UR engines in the ISF/RCF love nitrous, not sure if that translates to the 5.7
