This thread is so helpful and I have looked at many. Thanks for all the pictures and info on your setups and when I get my wheels and tires on I will be sure to add it here. OME BP-51 and SPC UCA's should be done being installed today and the planned wheel tire combo is the Icon Rebound 17X8.5 with +25 offset and Falken Wildpeak A/T3W 285/75r17 or BFG ko2 same in size.

Lol! I never expected a BLACK FRIDAY shipment would have taken so long. Week after week the folks at Icon were top notch, I feel like we are on a first name basis. Glad to finally have my wheels tho.

    2013 RW, 6112 @1.9” front, 5100 rear
I just joined the site to jump in this thread. I’ve got a 2013 rock warrior with the original 17” wheels (+50 offset).

I really want to put bfg ko2 12.5x35 tires on her. I saw a few of you have done this. Ive got 6112’s up front at 1.9” and 5100 rear for a level ride. I’ve seen some folks that have done it on their trucks, but haven’t seen it with only 1.9” lift up front. Can I do it without the BMC?

    Is anyone running this setup?

If anyone wants a pic of 285/70/17’s with 1.25” spidertrax spacers (as it is now), lemme know.

    Thanks!

I got toyo at3 35x11.5r17 installed on my RW wheels. No rubbing with the 1.25” spacers. 6112s on 3rd (1.9”) setting. Front mud flaps, fender liners and skid plate removed. RCI skid gets here next week.

Thanks to everyone who posted earlier in this thread.

How are you liking the tires so far? Do you have any experience with E load tires to compare the ride?

Read this whole thread and didn't see anyone running the Method 703 in the 17x8.5 with 35mm offset. Will be running stock UCA's with a Bilstein or Eibach leveling strut. Really like the look of these wheels, but trying to figure out if the +35 offset is going to get too close to the UCA's. Anyone with experience or thoughts on if it will be too close?

Have you run the numbers here? I'm running a 305/70 on a 25mm offset and feel like I have plenty of room. What size tire are you planning?
On a quick and dirty calculation you could go up to 35 x 12.5 on a 35mm offset and still be 0.13in further away from your uca then you would be on stock setup.

I had not used that calculator. That’s really helpful. Thanks!
I am looking at the 35x11.5 r17 Open Country AT3, so the calculator says I’d actually be 2/3 inch further from the suspension than with the stock SR5 alloys and 275/65 r18 Bridgestones. Makes me feel much better and seems like plenty of clearance not to need a BMC.

do you think you could have fit those same tires with +25 offset? Im trying to run 35s and dont know if 0 or 25 offset is going to be better. eyeing some similar method wheels

If you’re trying to avoid chopping, the +25 is 1000% better.

I think they’re great. I was worried they’d be loud on hwy, but they’re not. I’ve had e load tires in the past, but can’t remember which... maybe bfg ko? Anyway, these are c rated and seem pretty “plush”. It may be more the extra rubber with 35s instead of 33s rather than the load rating though. They have had good grip on some rocky spots off road. Haven’t had them in snow yet. All in all I give them two thumbs up. If they wear well, I’ll get another set at 200,000 miles.

Trying to decide between icon rebounds in 17" or 18" (both +25 offset) or black rhino stadiums in 17" or 18" (+10 offset)

The main question I have is how big of a pain is it to get the wheel on and off of the hub with the 17s? Anyone have to shave down the caliper to fit the 17" wheels or is the tiny gap between the caliper and wheel enough?

I have the 17” Icon Rebounds and really like them. I can’t speak to the Black Rhino Stadiums, but my Icon Rebounds are no more difficult to reinstall than the 18” MB352s I had on before and the 20” TSS wheels that first came from the dealer when I bought it new. For me, though, it’s not so much the hub space as it is the weight of the tire/rim combo that makes it challenging for me. Even so, the 17” Icons are a relatively light wheel, so that helps in that regard.

Looks great. How much space is there for the caliper with the rebounds? About the thickness of a sheet of paper? Lol

Clearance is just less than the thickness of the stick on wheel weights. Weight placement is key.
