I have in 05 tundra 4x4 limited that I want to put a 2.5 in the front and 1 in the back. I ordered the parts off Amazon and the spacers I got don't measure out 2 1/2 inches. I went to a few different shops and some of them said that the spacer should be what they say and measure out to 2.5in but some of the other shops said it could be a spacer that is 1.5in or 1.25in that will make you have a 2.5in lift. I just want to make sure I got the right size spacers before I put them on. These guys got me coming and going a bit ridiculous. Can someone please tell me what it's really supposed to be

    I believe it's not a 1 to 1 ratio ( 2.5 in spacer = 2.5 in lift ). The spacer will be smaller for a 2.5" lift.

2" of lift at the hub is not equal to 2" of space at the shock. The factory shock maybe has 5" of travel and the factory front suspension has maybe somewhere around 7". The hub is further out on the lever arm than the shock. No idea what the actual length of the spacer should be but I can measure my 2" spacers tomorrow. I think they were 1.75-2".

The 2.5 spacer lift should equal 1.25-1.5 actual thickness.

Ok cool. I ordered 2.5in spacers and the spacers I got are 1.25in from Superior suspension. I just wanted to make sure they will equal out to 2.5 inch Lift. For some reason no one could give me straight answer for sure around here at any of the shops

Ive been reading up on it and youre right. theres a mathematical equation im sure; but in the end, it seems due to tundys geometry, spacers are not a 1:1

OP: your truck is not a trd, correct?

Would love to know how it turns out when you do it. I'm thinking about doing the same on my 2000 tundra and wanted to know if it makes a big difference or not.
