I am looking at a job there and am wondering what life is like there. I am originally from the Midwest so I am used to winters with lots of snow. Housing still seems somewhat reasonable there compared to where I am at and most other places. Anything you can tell mee about the culture, area, people good bad or otherwise?

Flew into Idaho falls once. Didn’t see anything between the airport and Pocatello. Airport only had 3 gates.

Born and raised there. Left at 18, live in WI now haha. Way different vibe. Idaho falls is a mini wannabe Salt Lake City. Lots of LDS people. heavy Jackson WY fly fishing uppity culture influence as well. You’ll be at INL I’m assuming?

I personally don’t like it, at all

I have lived in Idaho Falls for 48 years, I personally love it here. Definitely a very LDS community but they don't bother me. We are very close to Yellowstone, Jackson, Salmon, and many other beautiful places.

My wife and I like the outdoors and almost all of our trips are based on camping and sightseeing. I am not concerned about the LDS as they are kewl and I understand they are so busy with kids and their own community that they don't have time to bother anyone else. I like t have an occasional adult beverage and my wife and I like to go out occasionally. I understand ID is a pretty Red state and has constitutional carry which are both good for me.

I have lived in Idaho for the past 23 years, moved to Idaho Falls four years ago. I'm from a small town in Western Wyoming so this is what I would consider city living, but I can still be in the mountains within minutes. That being said, I enjoy life in Eastern Idaho.
