Hey all, just picked up my Tundra and want to put on a Fab Fours front bumper with the brush guard. Anyone know if it'll interfere with the TSS sensor behind the front grill? I'm worried that it'll think a car is aways in front of the truck. Ideas?

Same question here. I'm guessing any guard that obstructs the sensor in the badge won't work. Does anyone know what products will work?

That's my assumption too. I'm going to give fab fours a call and find out their thinking.

Just got off the phone with Fab Fours. The pre-runner bar will interfere with the TSS, however they have had a shop successfully relocate it to the lower part of the grill without any issues. Seems like there's sufficient enough gap to fit in the lower part of the grill as outlined below:

Based on the pics of the sensor behind the emblem, it's square so assuming you could do some plastic "welding" it should work and be fairly secure. I also found this post that highlights it:

Same info I got from them. No chrome though, but that's a non-issue for me frankly since I'm going to be swapping out all the chrome on my truck. Anyway, I think I'm going to be cocky and give it a go. I'll keep this updated as I do, or at least update a build thread...

I'm too chicken/non-mechanically inclined to be chopping up my brand new truck. I'm hoping some of the accessory manufacturers out there are hard at work making something that will work with the TSS system- It would seem as simple as adjusting the grill guard to allow the radar to work. If anyone comes across something.....

I'm going to be buying a new 18 SR in the next few months and I can't believe this TSS/PCS is limiting what can and mainly can't be put in front of it, like a brush guard, pre-runner bars, a cooler/fishing rod holder for the surf Fisherman, or even a plow. It's not enough to deter me to go with a different brand but it just rubs me the wrong way and I hope they're will be a way around it without manually turning it off, because it turns back on after the truck is started.
