First I’ve heard of it, but I think due to his reputation as a good Toyota mechanic he sees more of the extreme stuff.

There have been quite a few UR powered vehicles with over 300k on here, so I’m not sure what to make of it. I think 2 3UR Tundras have hit a million miles on the original engine?

Personally, I’ll follow his advice on the coolant and do it every 5 years to be safe. Cheap insurance and I like working on cars anyways.

He speaks the truth and in this current place in history that is rare! Makes a person think! Meanwhile Toyota replaces the V8! with a 32 thousand dollar V6 that seems to have current issues. :)

I’ve never trusted the newer Toyota pink super long life. Not sure why, but the 5.7’s that use this stuff sure seem to have more leaks (especially water pumps) than the 4.7’s ever have using the super red.

I actually don't use their stuff. I use Pentosin Pentofrost A4 or Aisin (which might be rebranded as OEM Toyota stuff, who really knows).

I’ve been using zerex pink for years without issue. It’s supposed to be good for 5 years/150k miles. I’m doing a change soon in another Toyota, so I’ll see if there’s a measurable ph difference between old and new.
