Looking to eventually black out a majority of the front of my Tundra and I came across this grill. Anyone have this? It’s a matte finish, and I would like to either turn my current chrome buldge a matte black as well, to match the grill, or purchase a new matte one. Any suggestions or tips are totally welcomed.

I have one. It's a nice piece. I was able to take the center out and swap it over to the factory chrome trim for now so it matched. I eventually will paint the Matte trim the same color as the truck and reinstall it.

Thanks man. I’ve actually seen that video and have tried messaging that guy to ask how he matched the buldge so well, but have yet to hear back. I’m looking to Black the end caps as well...let me
    Know what you find!

Will do, I’m leaning towards Line-X. I haven’t decided yet though. I have found some replacement pieces that aren’t too bad either. I might try plasti-dip, but I’m not really into temporary solutions...:notsure:

Like X seems like the best solution, even though it’s a lot of coin for such small parts. Not a huge fan of plastidip...may be because I haven’t been doing it right or not putting enough coats on, but it always seems to chip away and piss ya off. I found some OEM black plastic caps on eBay but I like the idea of having the chrome caps under what I decide, for a more solid bumper.

Sounds like the same things I’ve been thinking... metal bumpers would just make me feel better! :muscleflexing:

It's somewhat common for them to have bulbs go out though; here's mine..

That’s badass man, and if bulbs are easy to switch out, not a horrible sacrifice given the look it adds to the truck. What did you use on your buldge to have it match the grill?
