Had to boost my battery for the first time since I got the truck back in 2018, when I noticed this sticker. Which if I'm reading correctly this battery was bought/installed in November of 05.

I never got one of those and I buy the OEM 84 month 27F battery as well. They tell me to just hold onto the receipt since they pro-rate the credit under warranty.

It's looking like after charging it all of Friday its gonna live, put it back in Saturday and started it for the first time today to run a quick errand and it started right up. Kinda want to see how long I can keep it alive till it's no longer convenient.

Just for science, do you live in a colder climate?

I’m thinking 2015, BTW, since neither 200 or 201 precede the year.

It was originally a USDM truck from Texas, until 2017 where it's been hanging out in central Alberta and eastern Ontario since. So kinda, I do have a battery blanket for colder weather if I remember to plug it in.

I'm now not nearly as entertained by this as I originally was, however I am going to choose to believe *X-files theme plays.

Interesting - that battery has gone from one extreme to the other. It's actually heat that permanently damages batteries -- cold just temporarily diminishes the capacity.

Yeah, seems more likely that the date is 2015 rather than 2005... but you never know.
