I recently bought a 2008 Crewmax 2wd that my wife will be using for her little side gig. Of course the rear wheel gap is about double that of the front. Anyone ever lowered a Tundra in the rear a bit? I’d be happy with 2” or 3” lower, wouldn’t need to be perfectly level! If so, will I completely loose ride quality ?

I lowered the bed 3.25" using kit from S.O.S. Performance, the new leaf springs are from Alcan because my OEM springs were toast after 270,000 miles of hard work.

I ended up bringing the tail pipe over the axle when I installed my custom exhaust from Dirty Deeds.

24" of pipe was removed because it would no longer clear the leaf pack.

The ride is great, I did not loose any ground clearance, and the truck sits level.

I want to do this to mine. Probably won’t happen this winter still, and I’m busy all summer! But hoping to next winter.

You can bet Rex's truck has never seen the salt covered roads up north, lol.
