During the day if my co passenger is wearing light colored clothes like whites or beige etc., I cannot see the screen if its too bright out, esp if the sun is shining on the co passenger. Its too reflective.
Any solutions anyone has found? Its impossible to see the map at all at times!

Nope not at all . Does help if you change it to a dark theme and use a different wallpaper.

Also consider some made in the USA options for screen protectors. Or at least from friendly countries.

I haven't seen it as an issue but my hood sure seems reflective. Much more so than my 2015 Silverado I came from.

Yes I too came from the same truck and noticed the hood,IForce Max badge and the passenger trims catching all kinds of light & it was a distraction to me at first but you'll get use to it.
The Screen can be a bit to get use to because of the glare I ended up putting on the matte finish it almost is a duel cure,it eliminated the glare and it hides the paw prints when navigating on it.

have the protech kit with the 14" and the MID protector. get the matte version to cut down on glare/reflections. the MID install is a major pita. had bubbles on the first install for over a month, removed it and installed the 2nd one (i got the dual kit cause i suck at installing them). left the 2nd MID installed for over 3 months before all the bubbles disappeared.

Going toward sun in morning or afternoon sun reflection is rough off the hood.

I took the protective film off and immediately put a protective screen on, I've never noticed excessive glare or reflection.
